I’ve been writing since junior high school, and thankfully my work has improved. I have two complete novels that I’m schlepping around, as well as a number of short stories that I’ll put on the site once I like them enough. I still live in exciting ol’ New Brunswick, Canada, where I make forts with my girlfriend and five cats.

Your writing about the importance of your brother “Alex” in your life touched me in the same way your story about your Uncle Robert did. It brought me to tears of pride and joy. You are a unique and big-hearted man Joel and I am proud to say I am your Aunt. Don’t ever stop your writings. You have a very gifted talent that both your grand-mothers would also be so very proud of. I would love to see you write more about your experiences. How about some stories of you and your brother growing up not only in your household with the craziness of Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Nimbley, but all the other craziness of the rest of us Coutures. Our history is what humorous legends are made of. Keep smiling, keep loving and keep writing.
