Updated on the first Thursday of every month, the short story section is meant to be your go-to spot for free fantasy short stories. Be Careful (03-07-2013) – With his wife dead, Ignatius feels he can make a deal with a daemon, Monshus, to bring her back. What makes him think his soul valuable, anyway? It’s not like a daemon has any trouble getting them normally.

Brawl (02-07-2013) – Mercius and his allies settle down in an inn for the night, doing their best to stay out of trouble while they look for leads on his father’s death. A few too many drinks mixed with bad tempers can do wonders for a boring night no matter how hard someone tries to keep it dull, though. Co-written with James Kirkland.

Seeing (01-03-2012) – Blind and with his family dead, Zaiki finds himself in a Temple of Haneza, the Goddess of Healing. The worshipers there don’t appreciate his questions about why a Goddess of Healing would allow pain in the world or his violent ways of dealing with troublemakers. Little do they realize that Zaiki has more to show them about their faith than they could possibly imagine.
